I. POSITION PURPOSE
Provides administrative services in support of Parish Family 43 and its activities.
II. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Accurately posts giving/donations to database.
Performs secretarial functions for the Pastor, Vicar and PAA as delegated.
Provides general support and serves as an administrative resource to those needing assistance.
Maintains sacramental records, parish registration and other parish filing systems.
Maintains parish database system making changes, additions and deletions as needed.
Registers parishioners and schedules baptisms.
Coordinates giving campaigns.
Assembles and distributes annual giving records.
Assists those in need by providing appropriate referral sources.
Coordinates volunteers as needed for parish administrative projects.
Helps prepare Prayers of the Faithful and Mass announcements and distribute to different locations.
III. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Serves as back-up receptionist as needed.
Attends workshops and provides general assistance as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Willingness and ability to support the mission of the church.
Active member of a parish/faith community and in good standing with the Church.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
Demonstrated leadership ability to work with a variety of people, including multicultural communities.
Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Able to work alone and with others.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with a database and online giving platform is highly desirable.
Maintains a level of confidentiality and professionalism with regards to work/church related issues.
2+ years of demonstrated experience in professional administrative work.
Parish or Catholic ministry experience a plus.
