YOUTH FAITH FORMATION
Youth faith formation programs run concurrently with the school year. Registration is available during the summer.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd - ages 3-12
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Montessori-based curriculum where children are introduced to materials they can find at Mass or in the life of Jesus Christ. Children are read scriptures, parables, and Old Testament prophecies. They can reenact them through dioramas and figures in a quiet, prayerful atmosphere. Level 1 for children ages 3-6 (Preschool - Kindergarten) and Level 2 for children ages 6-9 (1st - 3rd Grade). Level 3 for children ages 9-12 (4th - 6th Grade). For 6th graders, CGS fulfills the faith formation requirement for Confirmation Year 1.​

First Communion - ages 7 and up (2nd grade and up)
First Sacrament classes prepare children to receive their First Reconciliation and First Communion.

Youth Group - ages 11-18 (6th-12th grade)
Youth Group provides a friendly place for teens to learn about their faith, participate in spiritual enrichment, and help the community through service projects during the school year. Youth Group fulfills the faith formation requirement for Confirmation Year 1.

2-Year Confirmation - ages 11-18 (6th-12th grade)
Year 1 will be faith formation and Year 2 will be confirmation prep. Incoming 6th graders who intend to receive the sacrament of Confirmation at the end of 7th grade, must be enrolled in youth group or CGS this year to count as their year of faith formation. Next year, they will be enrolled in both youth group and confirmation prep. Incoming 7th - 12th graders who have already received a year of faith formation, are eligible to sign up for Year 2. They will also be required to enroll in youth group this year. ​​​

If your daughter is planning to have a quinceañera in the coming year, registration in Youth Group and Confirmation is required. Please call the St. Rose Parish Office at 360-425-4660 for more information.
